Liz Gillis Presents: The Easter Rising Day by Day: 110 Years On
at the Guinness Enterprise Centre
To commemorate the 110th anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising, local historian Liz Gillis will discuss the 1916 Easter Rising as it happened day by day across the city. Although the GPO in O'Connell street was the main focus of the event, fighting took place across Dublin, including Dublin 8, heartland of the 4th Battalion, Dublin Brigade, Irish Volunteers, which saw some of the most intense fighting during that momentous week.
