Culture Date with Dublin 8 is a neighbourhood initiative which aims to celebrate Dublin 8’s rich cultural, historical and architectural heritage while encouraging people who are living, working and visiting the area to explore what is on their doorstep. We host an annual flagship neighbourhood festival every May and run other events and projects throughout the year.

We have our Dublin 8 Cultural Attractions map available at all tourist offices in Dublin City Centre and featured locations.

The Dublin 8 Attractions Passport is available to pick up at all tourist offices in Dublin City Centre and at participating locations.

The next Culture Date with Dublin 8 annual neighbourhood festival will be taking place from 4th - 10th May, 2026. The events take place in the grounds of all the participating programme partners across Dublin 8. Visit our archive to explore previous festivals.

Some events require ticket booking, but not all of them. To book tickets please click the link on the event page. For events that do not require ticket booking, you can show up on the day to the event.

Due to event capacity and limited tickets for events, we kindly ask that if you have a ticket but can no longer make it, that you would contact the event organiser to release your ticket back to the public.

We try to make as many events free on the programme as possible. We believe our culture, history and heritage should be accessible for our community to engage with and learn about. However, some events may charge a low cost fee in order to cover the overhead costs of hosting the event or to secure your place if there is limited capacity.

We have tried to state event accessibility where possible, however if you require more information or special assistance, we advise you to contact the venue directly.
