
CELEBRATE D8
Culture Date with Dublin 8 is a neighbourhood initiative, which aims to celebrate Dublin 8’s rich cultural, historical and architectural heritage while encouraging people who are living, working and visiting the area to explore what is on their doorstep.

EVENTS
This initiative offers a year-long programme of free, family friendly events, activities and workshops during a weekend-long festival in May and a host of events that take place across the calendar year.

EXPLORE
This collaborative project and programme of events aims to connect with and amplify the wider efforts being made to regenerate the area, highlighting all the great things there are to see and do in Dublin 8 to locals and visitors alike.

LOCATIONS
Culture Date with Dublin 8 is hosted by some of the area's most significant cultural and historical landmarks including IMMA – Irish Museum of Modern Art, Kilmainham Gaol, The Phoenix Park, The Irish National War Memorial Gardens, Richmond Barracks, Goldenbridge Cemetery, Christchurch Cathedral, St Patrick's Cathedral, Edward Worth Library, Marsh's Library, Dublinia and The National Archives.

Culture Date with Dublin 8 aims to put Dublin 8 on the map as a unique, sought-after, cultural destination, connecting communities to their national heritage and cultural institutions while establishing a new platform for cultural, historical and educational organisations to work together.

Culture Date with Dublin 8 has launched a new cultural attractions map of Dublin 8.
From medieval history to modern art, Dublin 8 is home to some of Ireland’s richest cultural and heritage sites, many of which are within walking distance of one another.
