Gulliver’s Travels Workshop at St. Patrick’s Cathedral

Saint Patrick’s Cathedral

Step into a world of adventure, imagination, and discovery at this immersive Gulliver’s Travels workshop for children at St Patrick’s Cathedral. Inspired by Gulliver’s Travels, this lively and interactive session invites young participants to follow Gulliver’s extraordinary journeys, from the tiny world of Lilliput to the land of giants and beyond.

Through storytelling, creative play, and hands-on craft activities, children will reimagine these fantastical places, building their own miniature worlds, designing characters, and exploring big ideas through small details.

Led by experienced facilitators, the workshop blends learning with creativity, encouraging children to think about perspective, difference, and imagination in a fun and accessible way. Set within the historic surroundings of the cathedral once connected to Jonathan Swift himself, the experience offers a unique link between story and place.

This event forms part of Gulliver 300, marking 300 years since the publication of Swift’s iconic work, and connects with the wider themes of Songlines of the City by inviting participants to see Dublin through new eyes, uncovering hidden stories and alternative perspectives. Perfect for curious young minds, it’s an opportunity to step inside a classic tale and bring it vividly to life.
