Arts Bubble #20 - Human Measures: A Voyage Through Shifting Perspectives
At Secret D8 Location
Through music, poetry, movement, and visual arts, we embark on a collective journey into the realms of different human measures, found in multiple worlds and perspectives. In a world that constantly shifts between extremes, how can we find our own center?
"We do not see things as they are, we see them as we are." — Anaïs Nin
Three hundred years ago, Jonathan Swift told the story of Lemuel Gulliver, a traveler who saw different worlds but lost his internal measure. Among the tiny Lilliputians, he felt like a god; among the giants, he felt like an insect—discovering the disturbing truth that our sense of self is often just a reflection of our surroundings. In a world shifting between extremes, where can we find a human center, our measure, or what Aristotle called "Mesotes"—the Golden Mean?
Arts Bubble #20 explores this theme: "Human Measures: A Voyage Through Shifting Perspectives." Through music, poetry, movement, and visual arts, we embark on a collective journey into the architecture of our own perspectives. As always, no single interpretation is "right," as there is no search for a single "right" measure.
As usual, get ready to explore the theme the "Arts Bubbles Way": no stage, no distance, human connection, and artistic experimentation. And of course, shoes off... Oh yes, bring your coolest socks.
