Kevin Street Library
Kevin Street Library is located in the heart of the city, a stone’s throw away from the Liberties. This flagship branch of Dublin City Libraries is a hidden gem of the area, serving the community since 1904. Following an extensive refurbishment and reopening in 2018, it is a beautiful red brick building which connects the history of the area and the modern library service.
Kevin Street Library offers a wealth of features for everyone at every age and reading ability: whether you are seeking solace in a cosy reading room, diving into the world of literature, or need somewhere quiet to study, there's something for everyone here. This includes access to reading and study spaces, a children’s library, public PCs and wifi access.
The dedicated library team are happy to show visitors the extensive stock collection, comprising of fiction and non-fiction for all ages, large print books, easy reads, audio books, DVDs and much more.
But that's not all! You can stay informed with the selection of daily newspapers and magazines as well as accessing Dublin City Libraries’ e-resources to further skills and increase knowledge. The library also regularly hosts community workshops and events, Storytimes and toddler groups as well as talks and exhibitions that cater to all interests.
