Ease into the evening with a vibrant live trad session as Late in D8 lands at Liberty Belle on Friday 8 May. Running from 5pm to 7pm, this early evening showcase features rising group Bó Dhearg, bringing fresh energy to the rich traditions of Irish music.
Formed between Dublin and Glasgow, Bó Dhearg are a four-piece trad band blending diverse musical backgrounds into a sound that feels both rooted and contemporary. Moving seamlessly between tunes and songs, their performances are driven by a lively, infectious energy, honouring the spirit of traditional Irish music while giving it a modern edge.
Having built a strong reputation across Dublin’s live music scene over the past year, the band are now preparing to take their sound further afield with an upcoming UK tour. This is a chance to catch them in an intimate setting, right at the heart of Dublin 8.
Part of the BIMM Dublin showcase programme, this event invites audiences to drop in, settle in, and experience trad music as a living, evolving form, full of rhythm, connection and atmosphere.

Playing a mix of tunes and songs, Bó Dhearg has thenperfect lively energy for any event. They have been gigging all over Dublin for the last year and will be going on tour across the UK this summer.
