Scene + Heard

Scene + Heard: The Festival of New Work hosted in Smock Alley Theatre Dublin 8, is an annual Irish arts festival that kickstarts, incubates, and nurtures innovative new performance. It invites submissions of original, authentic work across diverse genres, including theatre, music, comedy, dance, poetry, puppetry, children's theatre, drag, circus, and visual art, from artists of varied backgrounds.

Months of dedicated support follow, featuring producer training, workshops, clinics, design discussions, industry networking, green policy sharing, casting/agent introductions, technical/promotional help, dramaturgy, and mentoring. These efforts strengthen Ireland's arts ecology and community.
