Adonis Flower Designers not only stands as a monument to the beauty of flowers and crafts but also as a vibrant participant in the cultural fabric of Dublin, inviting all to partake in the beauty and stories it has to offer.
Nestled within the historic Iveagh Trust Buildings on Patrick Street, stands the iconic Adonis Flower Designers. Established in 1992, this beacon of floristry in Block B, a structure that has been a testament to architectural elegance since 1909, continues to flourish under the vibrant stewardship of Sinead Crowe since 2022. Far from resting on the laurels of its venerable age, Adonis Flower Designers vibrantly combine tradition with a modern touch, ensuring its status as a central figure in the city's floral scene.
Offering an exquisite selection of fresh flowers and a diverse range of house and garden plants six days a week, Adonis Flower Designers transcends the conventional expectations of a flower shop. The establishment takes pride in its meticulously curated Irish Gift area, showcasing over 40 small Irish craft businesses. This thoughtfully selected assortment, ranging from aromatic candles and cozy throws to exquisite pottery and decadent chocolates from Donegal, provides patrons with a unique opportunity to discover and support local artisans, making it a treasure trove for both locals and visitors alike.
The team at Adonis, rich with stories, eagerly shares tales of the Museum Flat situated directly above the shop. This space, alive with the echoes of history, features an original working fireplace and drying racks for flowers, offering a glimpse into the past. Listen closely, some of the staff at Adonis have been known to hear gentle piano melodies overhead, could it be Nelly in her old Flat!
