From The Grand Canal to The Irish National War Memorial Gardens
Meet at the Goldenbridge Luas Stop (also served by the 123 bus). After a short stroll along the banks of the Grand Canal for a look at its great development and relevance today to the landscape, we will walk past the historic Golden Bridge Cemetery and the former Richmond Barracks complex. From here, a short walk will bring us over the Camac River and through Inchicore on our way to finish at the exquisite Irish National War Memorial Park, the largest of its kind in these islands. Duration 1 Hour 30 mins.

MAGAZINE FORT - PHOENIX PARK
10:00am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm - Guided Tour of the Magazine Fort in Phoenix Park
Tour commences at the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre, with a shuttle bus to the Fort. Visitors will have access to a number of areas within the Fort including one of the magazines and two viewing platforms. Watch the conservation work as it happens, see the archaeologist unearth the 18th century drainage networks or the raised oak grounds with timber dowels in the Magazine. Health and Safety induction will be conducted prior to the commencement of the tour, as conservation works are on-going within the Fort. Ground conditions are uneven so sturdy footwear is advised and suitable outdoor clothing should be worn. Duration 1 Hour.
