Culture Date with Dublin 8 took place on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th May 2018. It featured a host of free, family-friendly events, activities, guided tours and workshops, encouraging people to explore and connect to the cultural life and history of their local neighbourhood.

A family fun day with childrens entertainment, historical re-enactments, puppetry, circus skills, poetry and more at the Irish National War Memorial GardensAn outdoor concert at the temple in Goldenbridge CemeteryBespoke guided tours of Kilmainham Gaol, including a literary tour featuring women writers, and a family tour aimed at children between the ages of six and 12Walking tours on the history of the Grand Canal and Goldenbridge by Pat LiddyExclusive guided tours of IMMAs exhibitions, free entry to their landmark exhibitions all weekend,; family workshops, activity packs and self-guided garden trailsA Genealogy workshop, musical, and dramatic tours of Richmond BarracksGuided tours of the Magazine Fort in the Phoenix Park.
