Join Kieran Doyle O Brien at the Patrick Street gates to St Patricks Park. From here we’ll explore nearby streets that are part of an early twentieth century programme of urban renewal largely funded by the Liberties best know brewing family. This was a large scale development that included, social housing, public baths, men’s hostel, children's play centre, and two market halls with adjacent laundry. All of this was built to a very high standard exemplifying the skills of the best craftsmen, builders and architects of the day. Finish at the Iveagh Markets on Francis Street.
